Key features
- Highest acid value and polarity — best adhesion to metal and glass
- Low color and very low odor
- Effective at 0.5–3%, low cost in use
- Copolymerizes into the network — no migration
Typical applications
- Adhesion promoter for UV coatings, inks and adhesives
- Vacuum metallizing and NCVM base coats
- Nail gel base coats (bonds to nail hydroxyapatite)
- Phosphorus source for halogen-free flame retardant resins
- Clay-tolerant polycarboxylate superplasticizers
FAQ
How do I choose between KM2110 and KM2120?
Choose KM2110 when maximum adhesion to metal or glass matters. Choose KM2120 when you need color ≤10 Hazen, low shrinkage and higher crosslink density. The two can be blended.
Can KM2110 be used in amine-cured epoxy?
Not directly. Its high acid value neutralizes amine hardeners and shortens pot life, and its acrylate double bond has no reaction partner in an epoxy system. Use an epoxy silane instead, or apply KM2110 as a separate primer.
What dosage should I start with?
0.5–3% on total formulation, starting at 1% and running a ladder. Overdosing increases hydrophilicity and degrades water and salt-spray resistance.
